Dota Companion has twenty-four users as of today, 28 July 2026.
That is a small number. It is also the first number in this project that came from outside — every other figure on this site is something I produced: tests I wrote, versions I shipped, pages I built. Twenty-four is twenty-four people who found the listing, read it, decided it was worth a permission prompt, and clicked install. None of them know me. None of them owed me that.
I have written a lot here about the unglamorous half of building things — the defects ordinary play never finds, the identifier two systems both called by the same name, the rate limit that turned out to be the product. That is the honest material and I stand by it. But it is all inward-facing. It is me, checking my own work.
Twenty-four is the first evidence that the work leaves the building.
I do not know what any of them use it for. I have no analytics — the extension makes no network calls it does not need and collects nothing, which is a decision I would make again even though it means this paragraph has to end in a shrug. So: thank you, whoever you are. It landed.
